Passport Photo Maker – IDReady (“the App”) is developed by CafeCircuit (“we”, “us”). We respect your privacy. This page explains what information the App processes and how it is handled.

1. Data we process

• Photos you choose: Images you capture or import are processed to create ID/passport photos.
• Local edits: Alignment guides, manual cleanup, overlays, and many photo adjustments are processed on-device.

2. AI processing and photo uploads

When you use AI features (for example: AI background removal, AI formal attire generation/swap, or AI enhancement), the selected photo or edited photo is transmitted to third-party AI processing services over encrypted HTTPS.

• Purpose: To perform the AI action you requested.
• Services used: OpenAI image processing endpoints and/or background-removal processing providers configured by the App.
• Control: AI upload occurs only when you actively use AI/online features. If you do not use those features, no AI upload is performed.
• Retention: We do not operate our own photo storage server for these uploads. Third-party providers may temporarily process/store data according to their own policies.

3. Advertising (AdMob) & monetization

The App may display banner ads and may offer rewarded ads (for example, watching a short ad to unlock certain actions). We use Google AdMob to serve ads.

• Data used by AdMob (handled by Google as an independent controller): advertising identifiers (AAID/GAID), IP address, device/app identifiers, device information, and diagnostics/performance signals used for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and (where allowed) personalization.
• Diagnostics: AdMob/Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect crash/performance and ad interaction telemetry to operate and improve ad services.
• Children: The App is not directed to children.

4. What we do not require

• No account is required to use core features.
• We do not request contacts, calendar, microphone, or precise location for core editing flows.

5. Storage & sharing

Your projects/exports are stored locally on your device or selected folder. If you share files, that sharing happens through your device’s system share sheet to apps/services you choose.

6. Security

Data transmission for online services is performed over HTTPS. While we apply reasonable safeguards, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Legal bases & regional rights

• EEA/UK: We rely on appropriate legal bases, including consent where required (for example for personalized advertising).
• California: We do not sell personal information in exchange for money. Ad-related data sharing may occur as part of advertising/measurement operations.

8. Changes

We may update this policy as features evolve or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
